Arc by 3 Points¶
In one sentence: Draws a circular arc through three clicked points, computing the unique circle that passes through all three.
Overview¶
Workbench: Draft
Menu: Draft → Drafting → Arc Tools → Arc by 3 Points
Command: Draft_Arc_3Points
FreeCAD computes the unique circle passing through three non-collinear points and shows the arc between the first and third points. Faster than the centre-radius-angle method when you know where the arc must pass.
When to use¶
- Fitting an arc through three known survey or layout points.
- Matching an arc to three snapped geometry positions.
- When the centre and radius are not known but the pass-through points are.
